Consensual Encounters

This training includes lecture- and scenario-based training that will outline techniques in the use of consensual encounter techniques. The instruction includes legal foundation and case law issues, techniques, safety issues, and the use of plain-clothes and uniform officers.

School Resource Officer

The 5-day SRO Basic Training course provides the participant with the history, philosophy and basic skills to serve as an SRO. Participants will receive instruction in juvenile law, counseling skills, development of a referral network, identification and ways to handle exceptional students, and classroom training techniques. Class presented by F.C.P.T.I.
